A place to feel understood. Support to move forward.
When relationships feel strained, emotions become overwhelming, or familiar patterns keep repeating, it can be difficult to know where to begin. I offer a warm, respectful space to make sense of what you’re experiencing and explore what you would like to change.
I’m Billie, a master’s-qualified counsellor supporting individuals and couples. My approach is compassionate, collaborative and practical: we take time to understand what sits beneath your difficulties while developing strategies you can use in everyday life.
You don’t need to prepare a perfect explanation before your first session. We can begin wherever you are.
Individual counselling
Together, we can explore difficult emotions, understand relationship patterns, strengthen boundaries and work towards a clearer sense of self. I support people navigating:
- Anxiety, stress and emotional overwhelm
- Attachment, self-worth and relationship difficulties
- Grief, loss and significant life changes
- The ongoing impact of difficult or traumatic experiences
- Concerns about alcohol or other drug use
- Identity, belonging and personal growth
My background in social work, mental health, and alcohol and other drugs support informs a compassionate understanding of the different ways people cope.
Couples and relationship counselling
When conversations keep ending in conflict or distance, counselling offers dedicated time to understand what’s happening between you.
I support couples to recognise recurring patterns, communicate their needs more clearly and navigate difficult conversations with greater care. Whether you’re facing trust concerns, disconnection or changing expectations, we’ll work towards goals that reflect what matters to both of you.
An approach shaped around you
I draw on person-centred, attachment-based, trauma-informed and cognitive behavioural approaches, adapting our sessions to your circumstances, preferences and goals.
You can expect thoughtful questions, honest conversations and practical support, with space to move at a pace that feels manageable. Your perspective matters, and we’ll regularly reflect on how the work is meeting your needs.
I welcome people from diverse cultural backgrounds and offer an affirming, inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ individuals.
